Tahe Marine Greenland T

The most genuine Greenland style kayaks on the market, combining the ancient lines of these traditional hunting boats with a contemporary take on design & aesthetics. Quite simply, these boats are jaw-droppers…. The GreenlandT is a direct descendent of the traditional canoe inspired kayaks of Greenland, ancient boats that reached Central Europe as early as the 17th century. This modern reincarnation uses the same classic low volume hull with a V-shaped bottom. Although this requires a level of proficiency, at the same time it delivers unmatched speed and performance on both calm and dynamic water. The Greenland’s cockpit foot space was carefully engineered, keeping in mind the characteristics and needs of the human body on long journeys. A paddle of any distance in this tradition-inspired kayak will unveil the charms & unique qualities of these boats – speed, lightness and one very relaxed paddler. An amazing boat to roll, play in or cruise.

NRS® Propulsion Gloves - $40 (available through our online store)
We can't be accused of not catering to niches! These rigid webbed gloves are the perfect transition tool for paddlers looking to learn some of the advanced paddle-free Greenland or whitewater rolls. They have a set of flexible plastic shims in between each finger designed to grab the water hard, but still allow enough suppleness to grip a paddle. In application, we've been able to practice hand rolling, muff a few, & still wearing the gloves reach forward for the stowed paddle & roll back up. Something for the kayaker who has everything, and wants to add a trick or two to their repertoire.
