Introducing – The Mitchell Paddles (USA) Horizon Greenland Paddle

There is a revival in the ancient art of Greenland paddling, and kayakers globally are starting to see the benefits & advantages of a return to the paddle design of the Inuit. We stock the beautifully finished Horizon GP from Mitchell Paddles in the US, the original & best timber paddle craftsmen in the American market. The Horizon is a great design, available in a unique split formation, enabling you to use the paddle as a low windage spare. The advantages of this are numerous, including the mentioned lack of windage on your deck. Imagine a cruise when you start to fell a twinge in a shoulder or wrist with your Euro blade, and having the versatility to swap to the low impact GP for the rest of the day. Or arriving at your lunch spot & pulling out the GP to do a bit of rolling practice? We have stock of 210 & 215cm paddles, in both one piece & splits, for $349 & $399 respectively. This Greenland style paddle has an oversized oval loom that is approximately 17" long. The blades are 3 ½" wide at the tips and are about 35" to 38" long, depending on paddle length. The blades are cut from Spruce and Santa Maria with a polyurethane tip, the shafts a laminated spruce, walnut and ash, and the weight a cloud-like 700gm. Prices include national delivery door to door – order your GP today, take it out on the water tomorrow.
