The Avocet
The compact sea kayak that doesn’t compromise performance.
Developed from the popular Pintail the Avocet retains much of the lively
handling but is refined to provide better tracking and be more forgiving. The
Avocet is ideal as a general sea kayak for small paddlers, especially women,
or for the average sized paddler it makes a playful and enjoyable day boat.
Those of you familiar with the ‘This is the Sea’ kayaking DVD’s will have
seen this kayak in action in the tidal races famous in the UK, where it has a

Features: Retractable Skeg
A slider fitted near the cockpit, operates a retractable skeg to
ensure the kayak can be easily trimmed to suit all conditions. Triple-layer Polyethylene
High density polyethylene moulded in a three stage process to create a superior triple-layer laminate construction. Benefits include reduced weight, greater stiffness and abrasion resistance. Welded Contoured Bulkhead
Our contoured bulkhead somes as a standard feature. The curved form allows for flexion of the hull, particularly when stress is concentrated on a spot when running aground. Welded in place for the best possible construction. Ergonomic Seat System
